Engineering Projects LabThe largest lab, the EPL measures 5,800 square feet, consists of six separate areas, and contains over $265,000 in major equipment. It is staffed by a full-time Engineering Specialist who is available to help students with classroom and advanced projects. The full metal working facility is complete with state-of-the-art cad/cam software stations, and Haas Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) milling and turning centers. The EPL also contains multiple manual engine lathes, Bridgeport Series 1 mills, and square wave welding equipment-Minute Wire Inert Gas (MIG) and Tungsten Inert Gas (MIG), as well as various sheet metal working tools.

The EPL also contains equipment used for hot metals processing. Specific processing equipment includes plasma cutting, tool furnaces, and complete aluminum sand casting facilities. The space is used for classroom demonstrations, lab assignments, senior projects, and as a fabrication area for large, interdisciplinary projects.
