Scholarships
Several Scholarships are available to students in this department. These include:
- Chemistry Department Scholarship
Must have a declared major within the department and have cumulative and major GPAs of at least 3.3. Applicants must have completed at least 64 credit hours and CHEM 320 by the end of the Spring semester
- Leonard A. Ford Chemistry Scholarship
Must have senior standing by Fall semester in the BS-ACS Chemistry major with cumulative and major GPAs of at least 3.3
- Robert E. Gebelt Memorial Scholarship
Must be a woman (preferably a senior) majoring in Chemistry or Biochemistry who has completed at least 96 credit hours by the end of Spring semester. A cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 and evidence of extracurricular activies are required.
- Winston Grundmeier Chemistry Scholarship
Must have completed CHEM 201 and 202 by the end of Spring semester and will be taking organic chemistry during following academic year. Cumulative and major GPAs of at least 3.3 are required.
- Robert Henney Memorial Scholarship
Must have a declared major within the Department and will have completed CHEM 305 by the end of Spring semester. The student should have cumulative and major GPAs of at least 3.3. This scholarship is intended for a student who has special financial need.
- Marie Payne Graham Memorial Scholarship
Must be an incoming freshman with an interest in majoring in chemistry and a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
